197 أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ آيَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُ
عُلَمَاء بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? |
196 وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الْأَوَّلِينَ Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. |
195 بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ
مُّبِينٍ In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. |
194 عَلَى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنذِرِينَ To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. |
193 نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ
الْأَمِينُ With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- |
192 وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: |
191 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. |

إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. |
189 فَكَذَّبُوهُ
فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. |
188 قَالَ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." |
