Do you get confused when people ask, "Are you a Muslim or a Hanafi?"

Do you get worried when you're accused of "Blindly Following" an Imam instead of following the Qur'an and Hadith?

So why do we follow a Madhab and why only one? Why not all four? Isn't it shirk to blindly follow a human being? Shouldn't we be following the Qur'an and Hadith? What is Taqleed?
